Pių che un semplice disco, Valleys of Neptune č un vero e proprio tributo al grande Jimi Hendrix.
L'album, raccoglie 12 canzoni registrate dallo stesso Hendrix durante la sua stratosferica carriera ma mai pubblicati su nessun supporto.
Valleys of Neptune esce a 40 anni di distanza dalla sua tragica scomparsa avvenuta a Londra il 18 settembre 1970, quando il chitarrista aveva solo 28 anni.
