L'ultimo album dei Placebo "Meds" risaliva al 2006, adesso a distanza di 3 anni la alternative rock band britannica ritorna sulla scena musicale con Battle for the Sun, il primo lavoro eseguito con il nuovo batterista della band, Steve Forrest.

Battle for the Sun è un bellissimo album che spazia tra vari generi musicali quali: Post grunge, Alternative rock, Punk revival[ e Pop punk. Prodotto da Dave Bottrill e registrato in Canada a Toronto, è probabilmente tra i lavori più belli ed innovativi dei Placebo.
