Dopo il film "I Love Radio Rock", arriva il cd dal medesimo nome contenente la sua colonna sonora.

Al cinema è un film-commedia ambientato a bordo di una nave pirata inglese, in cui sono isolati un manipolo di dj che trasmettono musica rock 24 ore su 24 dalla loro radio pirata, in nome della libertà e dell'amore; a quei tempi il governo britannico permetteva la trasmissione di 2 ore a settimana di questo genere musicale, considerandola una musica troppo ribelle verso il governo inglese.

Il film mette in risalto lo scontro politico-sociale a metà anni '60 in uno scenario accompagnato da canzoni a quel tempo molto in voga e sopratutto dalle voci di grandi artisti del calibro di Otis Redding, David Bowie, The Beach Boys e Jimi Hendrix. Tali canzoni le ritroviamo nel cd-raccolta "I Love Radio Rock".
