'Meet the Smithereens' è una cover dello storico 'Meet the Beatles!' dei Fab Four. Non è quindi una raccolta di cover ma la riproposizione di un album al completo.
Gli Smithereens non sono una band forunata, stanno sulla scena da oltre 20 anni e ancora vivono suonando alle feste, in ogni caso l'album si rivela come un progetto simpatico ma adatto solo ai fans più accaniti dei Beatles.
